The Harmonie Mutuelle 20 km de Paris—formerly known as Les 20 km de Paris—is a 20-kilometer race running from the Pont d'Iéna to the Eiffel Tower; its 48th edition takes place on Sunday, October 11, 2026.
You are surely familiar with the legendary Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris—a 42.195 km race held every year in mid-April—but do you know the Harmonie Mutuelle 20 km de Paris?
Held annually since 1979, the race was originally known simply as "Les 20 km de Paris" and was created by Michel Jazy, a renowned French long-distance runner.
Now known as the Harmonie Mutuelle 20 km de Paris, this running event still winds through western Paris, passing by the city's most iconic landmarks, and brings together 33,000 runners from 100 countries.
The 2026 edition will be the 48th and will be sponsored by Stéphane Diagana—a two-time world champion in athletics (400m hurdles and 4x400m relay) and Harmonie Mutuelle’s "Sport-Health" ambassador since 2021.
The course for the 2026 Harmonie Mutuelle 20 km de Paris starts at the Pont d'Iéna—connecting the Trocadéro to the Eiffel Tower—follows the banks of the Seine, heads up Avenue Marceau, and arrives at the Place de l'Étoile, facing the Arc de Triomphe that overlooks the Champs-Élysées.
Next, the route heads toward Avenue Foch, crosses the Bois de Boulogne—resplendent in its autumn colors—and exits in front of the Roland-Garros Stadium (home to the legendary international tennis tournament of the same name) before passing by the Parc des Princes, the iconic stadium of the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) football team.
The course then follows the Seine's embankments back toward the Louvre Museum, passing the Maison de la Radio, the Trocadéro, the Grand Palais, the Place de la Concorde, and the Tuileries Garden.
It then crosses the Seine via the Pont Royal, continues along the Quai Anatole France—passing the Orsay Museum and the National Assembly—and follows the Quai d'Orsay before turning onto Avenue Rapp to reach the finish line at the Champ-de-Mars, at the foot of the Eiffel Tower.
The 2026 Harmonie Mutuelle 20 km de Paris is also a charity-focused race; this year, it is highlighting the Grégory Lemarchal Association—dedicated to advancing cystic fibrosis research and improving patients' daily lives—and will donate €3 per race bib and €12 per pack to the cause.
The 20 km de Paris is also open to para-athletes, featuring specific rankings for wheelchair and standing para-athletes, as well as to children through the Harmonie Mutuelle 20kids de Paris race (1 km for ages 6–9 and 2 km for ages 10–13).
Whether you are a spectator or a runner, a novice looking to push your limits or a dedicated running enthusiast, stay at the Hotel Jardin Le Bréa and make the most of the Harmonie Mutuelle 20 km de Paris!
