Categories : Paris, Shows and Sporting Events, published on : 3/12/26

On Sunday, April 12, 2026, more than 55,000 runners from 145 different nationalities will participate in the 49th edition of the legendary Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris, which is 42.195 km long.

Paris is home to one of the world's five largest marathons.

This running event has been held annually since 1976, allowing runners to explore the capital's most iconic landmarks.

The 42.195 km route starts at the foot of the Arc de Triomphe on the Champs-Élysées, heading towards the Place de la Concorde.

After a detour via the Palais Garnier, the route continues to the Carrousel du Louvre and the Rue de Rivoli, which will take runners directly to the Place de la Bastille, then the Place de la Nation.

After passing through the Bois de Vincennes and its Château, the return leg will take runners past Notre-Dame Cathedral, then the Eiffel Tower, the Musée d'Orsay, and the Grand Palais.

The final loop will pass by the Hippodrome d'Auteuil before entering the Bois de Boulogne, and will finish on Avenue Foch.

Leading up to the Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris, the Run Experience trade show, a must-attend event for all runners and key players in the running world, will be held at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles from April 10 to 12, 2026.

Whether you're a spectator or a runner, a casual jogger or a seasoned marathoner, stay at the Hotel Jardin Le Bréa and make the most of the Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris!
