Roland-Garros: The French Open Tennis Championships - From May 18 to June 7, 2026

Categories : Paris, Shows and Sporting Events, published on : 4/9/26

The unmissable French Open, or Roland-Garros tournament, the annual meeting of the world's best tennis players on clay, will take place from May 18 to June 7, 2026, at the Roland-Garros stadium in Paris.

The French Open, organized annually by the French Tennis Federation (FFT), was established in 1891 as the French Tennis Championships.

The first editions of this tournament were held on the courts of the Racing Club de France and the Stade Français.

Since 1928, it has been held at the Roland-Garros stadium, named in honor of the famous French aviator.

The French Open is the biggest clay-court tournament of the season and the only Grand Slam tournament still played on this surface.

It takes place every year during the last week of May and the first week of June.

The French Open enjoys the most extensive media coverage worldwide, and, due to its slow surface and best-of-five-set matches without a tiebreak in the final set, it is considered the most difficult and physically demanding.

From May 18 to June 7, 2026, come and cheer on up-and-coming French tennis players and the biggest names in international tennis, stroll through the grounds of the stadium, and explore the village with its restaurants and shops...

...or watch the matches from the comfort of your room at the Hotel Jardin le Bréa!

Opening Dates and Times:

From May 18 to June 7, 2026

The gates of Roland-Garros Stadium open every day at 10:00 AM, except from Monday, May 19 to Wednesday, May 21, when they open at 9:00 AM.

It is advisable to arrive early to avoid long waits due to security procedures.
