The 108th Congress of Mayors and Presidents of Intercommunal Authorities of France, organized by the AMF (Association of French Mayors), will be held from November 24 to 26, 2026, at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles; it will be preceded by a meeting for elected officials from the French Overseas Territories, taking place on November 23, 2026, at the Palais des Congrès in Issy-les-Moulineaux.

From November 24 to 26, 2026, all mayors and presidents of intercommunal authorities in France will gather at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles exhibition center for their annual congress, organized by the Association of French Mayors (Association des Maires de France).

As is the case every year, the congress will be preceded by a meeting for elected officials from France’s Overseas Territories—a dedicated forum for dialogue on issues specific to these jurisdictions—taking place on November 23, 2026, at the Palais des Congrès in Issy-les-Moulineaux, in the Hauts-de-Seine department.

The theme of this 108th edition is: "Regaining Our Freedoms."

It reflects "an ambition to reclaim the capacity to take action—to address the challenges facing our nation and to meet the demand for high-quality, accessible public services that align with people’s expectations. This ambition is firmly positioned within the context of the presidential election, with the aim of anchoring the issue of local government autonomy in the debate leading up to the vote."

Following the 2026 municipal elections, the Congress of Mayors and Presidents of Intercommunal Authorities of France will pay special attention to the newly elected teams, providing support as they begin their terms through more than 80 debates, forums, and workshops.

The program for the 108th Congress of Mayors and Presidents of Intercommunal Authorities of France is organized around several key themes, allowing participants to focus on the topics that are their top priorities:

* Status and protection of elected officials
