Established in 1898, the Mondial de l'Auto is a trade show held every two years at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. It alternates with the Munich Motor Show (IAA Mobility)—formerly the Frankfurt Motor Show—which is the largest in terms of floor space.
Originally known as the International Automobile and Cycle Show, it was renamed the Mondial de l'Automobile de Paris in 1988. In 2018, it became the Mondial de l'Auto (or Mondial Paris Motor Show), bringing together the themes of automobiles, motorcycles, mobility, and technology.
Backed by the French automotive industry, the Mondial de l'Auto ranks among the world's leading international motor shows in terms of both attendance and longevity.
For its 91st edition, the 2026 Paris Motor Show is thinking even bigger: from October 12 to 18, 2026, it will bring together automotive industry professionals and passionate members of the general public across five halls at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, covering a total area of 70,000 m² of indoor exhibition space and 15,000 m² outdoors.
Over the course of six days, 500,000 visitors will encounter more than 100 exhibitors and over 60 manufacturers, alongside a program of exhibitions, conferences, and special events.
