The discovery of King Tutankhamun’s tomb is one of the world’s greatest historical events.
When the archaeologist Howard Carter opened the tomb in 1922, he unveiled an unprecedented trove of treasures: gleaming royal jewellery, sacred artefacts, ancient weapons, musical instruments and the world-famous Golden Mask.
To this day, Tutankhamun’s legacy continues to fascinate people in their millions around the globe.
