Categories : Exhibitions, published on : 6/13/23
Hergé, the famous designer and illustrator of comics "The Adventures of Tintin", is at the Grand Palais in Paris from 28 September 2016 to 15 January 2017 for a retrospective of his great career, in collaboration with the Hergé Museum in Louvain-la-Neuve in Belgium !
Often considered as the father of the European comic strip, Georges Remi, know as Hergé [1907-1983], is one of the first French-speaking author to resume American style comics.
Of course, Hergé is the daddy of Tintin, and a large part of the exhibition is devoted to this character, but not only !
The man with 250 millions comic books sold and 300 characters is also the designer of "Quick et Flupke" or "Jo et Zette", the illustrator of newspapers, advertisements, maps and novels, and the painter of many abstract paintings.
The exhibition is organized on a journey which will allow you to explore various themes such as artists that marked his childhood and who developed his artistic sense, his family, the birth of Tintin, technological discoveries that punctuate the adventures of the young journalist... through original drawings, paintings, models and photographs.
Meet at the Grand Palais, ten thousand thundering typhoons!
