The Association of Mayors of France (AMF) organizes its congress every year at the Porte de Versailles Exhibition Center in Paris, at the same time as the Salon of Mayors and Local Authorities (SMCL).
The Congress of Mayors of France (Congrès des Maires de France) brings together nearly 13,000 elected members directly registered with the AMF, who can participate in many conferences or thematic workshops over three days.
The Salon des Maires et des Collectivités Locales (SMCL) allows elected representatives to meet their counterparts and professionals from the local government sector.
The 100th congress of mayors and community presidents will take place from November 20th to 23rd, 2018 and will have as its theme: "Successful France with its municipalities".
Several major debates on major themes are included in the program of the Congress:
- "Climate change and natural disasters"
- "Municipalities and inter-municipalities driving a new dynamic"
- " Rural territories, essential actors of a true alliance of territories"
