The Paris La Défense Christmas Market—the largest in the Île-de-France region, featuring over 300 chalets and a wide array of attractions—returns to the La Défense esplanade from November 12, 2026, to January 3, 2027, to bring a touch of magic to your holiday season!

 

 

For fans of mulled wine, raclette, roasted chestnuts, and Christmas shopping, the largest Christmas market in the Île-de-France region can be found in the Hauts-de-Seine department—right at the gateway to Paris, on the esplanade of the Paris La Défense district!

 

For its 31st edition, the Paris La Défense Christmas Market is pulling out all the stops: over 300 chalets, restaurants serving regional specialties, fairground rides, parades, a brand-new area called "Le Sommet" (The Summit), and—of course—a visit from Santa Claus!

 

The Paris La Défense Christmas Market opens its chalets on November 12, with a grand, high-profile inauguration ceremony taking place on Friday, November 13, at 8:45 PM. The event will feature a concert by the choir Gospel'n'Soul Voices, followed by a performance from singer Chimène Badi.

The countdown to the end of the year can then officially begin.

 

For nearly 7 weeks, the Paris La Défense Christmas Market will feature:

 

* 300 chalets, including a village dedicated to 30 artisans and creators

* 5 restaurants offering a variety of regional specialties (from Savoy, Alsace, the Southwest, the French West Indies, and Quebec), plus 3 food courts

* 4 amusement rides: a carousel, a swing ride, a reindeer-themed ride, and a Christmas tree-themed ride

* Magical parades every Wednesday and Sunday

* Santa Claus, present daily, joined by Mrs. Claus on Wednesdays and weekends

* The Elves' Workshop ("Atelier des Lutins"): free creative workshops for children on Wednesdays and weekends

 

And the major new addition for 2026 is "Le Sommet" (The Summit)—an event in its own right, featuring:

* A 504 m² ice rink surrounding a giant Christmas tree

* A central, pyramid-shaped bar

* A dining area, including an Auvergne-themed counter

* A stage with a daily evening program

How to get to the Paris La Défense Christmas Market from Hotel Jardin Le Brea?

Parvis de la Défense, 92400 Paris La Défense

- From Hôtel Jardin Le Bréa, take metro line 4 at Vavin (a 1-minute walk) toward Porte de Clignancourt, and get off at the Les Halles station. Then, take the RER A train—heading toward Saint-Germain-en-Laye, Cergy-le-Haut, or Poissy—and get off at the La Défense station.

The total travel time from our hotel is 30 minutes.
